Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data NextGen Forensic collects, why, and the choices you have. We process personal data in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.

1. What we collect

• Account details: name, email address and a securely hashed password (we cannot see your password).
• Learning records: enrolments, lesson progress, test answers and scores, certificates, and posts you make in the community.
• Payment records: the amount, programme and Razorpay order/payment IDs. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay, not by us.
• Security data: login times, IP addresses and security events, used to protect your account and detect abuse.

2. Why we use it

• To create and secure your account, including email verification and password resets.
• To deliver programmes, live classes, tests and certificates, and to let anyone verify a certificate you share.
• To process payments and keep records required by tax and accounting law.
• To send service emails (verification codes, receipts, class updates). We do not sell your data or send marketing without your consent.

3. Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help run the Platform, under contracts that protect your data:

• Razorpay (payments)
• Our hosting and database provider
• Our email delivery provider
• Our video hosting provider
• Cloudflare (security and bot protection)

Instructors of your programme can see your name, email and progress in that programme. We disclose data to authorities only when required by law.

4. Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one during two-step login. Our bot-protection check may set its own security cookie. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. How long we keep it

Account and learning records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed to verify certificates you have earned. Payment records are kept for the period required by law. Security logs are kept for up to one year.

6. Your rights

• Access a summary of your personal data and how it is used.
• Correct or update inaccurate data. You can change your name from your Account page.
• Ask us to erase your data, subject to records we must keep by law.
• Withdraw consent and close your account.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights in case of death or incapacity.

7. Children

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to your use of the Platform. Please contact us so we can record that consent.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, optional two-step login, access controls, and security logging. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
